Georgia is an unknown treasure: despite being small, it has a breathtaking mountain range, ancient ruins, world class wine, the Black Sea and an astonishingly diverse cuisine. Unfortunately, a war between Russia and Georgia in 2008 crippled the economy and particularly the tourism sector. Until today, few people decide to visit this incredible country. When we went, we were not lucky and could not spend as much time as we wanted. Nevertheless, we managed to get a glimpse of this unique country, torn between, or enriched by, the influence of nearby Turkey, Russia and the Middle East.
